Eden Rivers Trust has a regular practical volunteer day on the last Thursday of each month.
This month that falls on the 30th of April.
Paul Greaves, River Action Group Co-ordinator, says "We will be planting reeds at
the new educational wetland which has been created at Newton Rigg. No particular
skills are required and lunch will be provided. If anyone would like to book a
