On Sunday 8th May, 10am to 3pm VistaVeg is running a Grow Your Own Veg day at their polytunnel site in Crosby Ravensworth. The cost is £10 per person which includes refreshments and any seeds, cuttings, etc you may wish to take home with you. Please bring a packed lunch with you, a soil sample if you wish to test your pH levels and lots of enthusiasm for growing veg! "We’ll touch upon soil, composting, useful tools, supports & structures, crop rotation, seed propagation/acquisition/saving, cuttings & division, transplanting & potting on, pests & diseases, watering & feeding, harvesting."
