Drop in to our stall during Penrith May Day celebrations to find out how to spot plastic and refuse it properly!
“Plastic: or Curse?”
Appreciating the benefits, but concerned about the problems caused by plastic, our stall looks at what we can all do to ease the impact of plastic pollution, under the headings of:
- Refuse –alternative ways when shopping
- Re-use – finding a further use for your plastic ‘rubbish’
- Recycle – what and where locally
- Re-think – finding alternatives to buying plastic items
Included in our displays are examples of non-plastic, fully compostable, disposable cups and containers from Vegware.
Also:
- Make your own pot from newspaper and
- plant a seed to grow at home.
- How well can you score on our recycling quiz?
