To celebrate The Old Courthouse finally being
handed over to our community and the charity (Shap Community CIO) that is going
to be running the day to day organisation of the building that houses the
library link and playgroup as well as events and exhibitions; we are organising
a day on Friday 14th August to bring in as many people to the
building as possible.
We are planning lots of entertainment and events for all ages and would like all of you who have shown the willingness to get involved with this great project to come along and join in.
Those talented individuals amongst us (and there are many!) could help out by showcasing your skills and help to promote the Old Courthouse to the visitors who attend the event. Musicians, writers, story-tellers, arts & crafts - if you can do something to help add to the celebrations - please let us know and get involved.
We also need those vitally important volunteers to help
with refreshments and organisation on the day.
We are thinking of having
a bake sale to help raise funds - if you could support The Old Courthouse with a
cake etc - please do!
All money raised on the day will go towards the running costs of the building and will help to keep the library open, the playgroup running and lots of new ideas to become a reality.
