Uncooked Apple Chutney Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500g/1 lb onions    
  • 500g apples (peeled & cored)
  • 500g sultanas               
  • 500g raisins
  • 500g soft brown sugar        
  • ½ pt malt vinegar (can be spiced by boiling up pickling spices and left to stand for a few hours)
  • 1 teaspoon salt & dash of pepper
  • (I add some Balsamic vinegar to darken the chutney)

Steps

  1. Mince first 4 ingredients (use a mincer, blender or food processor)
  2. Add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper
  3. Stir well and leave overnight
  4. Bottle and store for 2 weeks before eating.
