The Little Coffee Cup is challenging the UK publishing industry to do better\, championing a sustainable approach that proves we don’t need to cut down trees to print beautiful books. \nAbout the Author\, Hayley Slack: Leveraging her expertise in the waste industry at Biffa\, Hayley partnered with Kendal-based sustainable paper pioneer James Cropper to transform UK waste into an innovative publishing endeavour. Driven to champion both the environment and local enterprise\, she collaborated with Cumbrian animation studio Plus3K to create a stunning\, high-quality children’s book crafted entirely from thirteen recycled coffee cups. \n\nNo need to book\, just turn up!

Backed by a £4.1 million grant\, the initiative unites landowners\, farmers\, and conservationists to restore vital landscapes\, reintroduce endangered species\, and promote nature-friendly farming practices. \nMo brings a PhD in Ecology and over 15 years of international experience to his role leading Cumbria Connect’s biodiversity monitoring\, ensuring their restoration efforts are guided by solid evidence.
