Wild daffodils at Penrith Castle

Wild daffodils at Penrith Castle – a Community Project

In October 2021 we are planting wild daffodils with the new pupils (year 7s) at Ullswater Community College along the lower roadside bank of the Castle.

REARRANGED FOR SUNDAY OCTOBER 3RD.

Sunday 3rd October 10am-1pm with UCC students and families joining in.

Please come along if you can and plant or help organise. Bring trowel, spade if you want to help plant.

It will probably be wet and slippery but a great way to join in a community project! Wear old clothes and shoes/boots with grips as we are planting on the slope next to the road.

Linking generations -would you like to remember someone?

Names will be added to a remembrance board next to the daffodils when they flower.

Simply put £20 in an envelope (pays for 100 bulbs.)

Label the envelope ‘Daffodil bulbs to remember xxxxxxx’ and leave at: Style-Line Middlegate, Restore /Op Shop Angel Lane, Greenwheat flowers/café Brunswick Road.

Thank you for your support: Penrith Acton for Community Action (PACT) working with Ullswater Community College, Penrith Community Gardeners & English Heritage.

Together we can make a difference
