As part of Penrith’s Great Big Green Week, Sustainable Stainton will be running a talk on invasive plants and how to tackle them!
Ali Penny, the Invasive Officer for Eden Rivers Trust, will give a talk on how we can prevent the continued rapid spread of invasive plant species in Stainton and the surrounding area.
The talk precedes a planned ‘Balsam Bash’ on Saturday June 6th between 10.00 – 2.00 pm to tackle the Himalayan Balsam that has invaded the old quarry site at the top of Fairybead Lane. Refreshments provided
