We’re kicking things off with a free wildlife walk, followed by an evening talk to celebrate Lucy’s beautifully joyous debut book, Love is a Toad: Exploring our Relationship with Nature. Feel free to attend both parts or just the walk/talk…whatever suits you!

Just two years after its creation, take a stroll with us around Penrith’s local nature reserve alongside Lucy and Cumbria Wildlife Trust Reserves Manager, Ami Stidolph. Come and see what wonderful creatures have made this urban green space their home!
Part 2: Author Talk – Lucy Lapwing in conversation with fellow naturalist and author of Wild Fell, Lee Schofield

Lucy will be discussing the complicated spectrum of emotions that come with a love of the natural world – from wild grief to soaring joy. Sharing stories from her debut book, Love is a toad.
