PACT (Penrith Action for Community Transition) are looking for an enthusiastic freelance project facilitator to help us in our work to support a Penrith community response to the climate and nature crisis.
A local community group, PACT has worked since 2008 to inspire and support people to use less energy and resources, restore biodiversity and step less heavily on our planet. PACT recent work includes supporting a number of initiatives: “Green Screen” environmental film nights, speaker events, a Green Book Group, Seed and plant swaps, the Penrith Repair cafe and Great Big Green Week events.
Tasks for the post include: helping to organise events; linking with other community groups in the area; administrative tasks such as website maintenance, managing social media and newsletters; processing project plans; assist with grant applications and help directors to set strategic direction and planning.
The post is part time, average 24 hours per month for a 6 month initial period.
