As part of Penrith’s Great Big Green Week, Great Salkeld Nature Group are running a family-friendly afternoon to bring their local community ‘Together for Good’.
Join Great Salkeld Nature Group for a family-friendly afternoon of nature activities and information, including a variety of stalls, a plant sale, local produce, nature crafts and homemade refreshments kindly provided by volunteers.
The stalls will feature information on insects and invertabrates, foraging, uses of wild plants, bird boxes and bug hotels, ways to record wildlife, removing invasive species, textile repairs and more.
Activities for kids will include nature crafts and easy wildlife identification.
There will be a sign up form on the day for information about future events (such as guided walks) to be put on by Great Salkeld Nature Group.
