As part of Penrith’s Great Big Green Week, Eden River Trust’s Tree Nursery will be running a special green roof workshop!
Ever fancied having a green, living roof but not sure where to start? Drop in to the Eden Community Tree Nursery and help us build our new, bigger green roof and pick up practical hints and tips along the way! No experience necessary, we’ll show you how.
You can drop in for an hour or stay all day! If you plan to stay for the full five hours, please bring a packed lunch.
Good to know:
- Ages: Adults Only
- Booking Information: No need to book, just turn up
- Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. Please note there aren’t any toilets at the nursery

- What to bring: Suitable clothes for the weather that you don’t mind getting muddy in and sturdy shoes. We can provide gloves, but if you prefer to use your own gardening gloves – please bring them along. If you plan to stay for the full day, please bring a packed lunch.
